United Sports in West Bradford is accepting registrations for the fall session of both Lil? Kickers Soccer program and Youth sports classes and a new Floor Hockey League. Lil? Kickers is a youth development program for ages 18 months to 7 using creative and imaginative games and activities to teach the basic skills of soccer. Youth sports classes for ages 4 to 6 include T-ball, floor hockey, and SuperSports and Parent/Child sports. The new Floor Hockey League, played as two separate age divisions (5-6, and 7-8) begins Sept. 14. Teams will practice on Saturdays for the first four weeks and then play games. Avon Grove NFL Flag Football has begun on-line registrations for players ages 5 through 16. Registration, which runs through Aug. 17, can only be done on-line at www.agflag.com Late registrations will not be accepted. Proof of age is required for new players. Age requirements are determined by the players age on Sept. 1, 2013. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons ini Kemblesville starting in September, and will run through early November. The Elite 18U Softball Travel Softball will be holding tryouts on Aug. 13 and Aug. 15. The time will be 6 p.m. to dark. The tryouts will be held at West Sadsbury Township Building, 6400 N. West Chester Rustin High School has the following openings for the 2013-2014 school year: Head Girls Lacrosse Coach, and Assistant Boys Soccer Coach. West Chester University has an opening for an assistant men?s soccer coach. The position is part-time. Applications are due by Aug. 10. The Phoenixville Area Youth Soccer League has opened its registration. The league is open to all players ages 6-12. All skill levels are welcome. The Malvern Swimming Association is accepting registrations for its Fall Swim Clinic and Swim School. The clinic was developed for swimmers who want to enhance their technique in freestyle and backstroke in addition to introduction to breaststroke, butterfly, starts and flip-turns. Placement in the clinic is determined by age and skill level. Children must be between the ages of 6 and 13. The clinic runs from October through May. The 14th Annual Coatesville Area High School Sports Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony will be held on Oct. 19 at the Coatesville Country Club. The banquet begins at 5 p.m. with a social time. Dinner and the induction ceremony will immediately follow. This year?s class of inductees are: Marty Eggleston (1985) basketball, Kevin Hunt (1979) football, Matt Lapp (2001) cross country, Ryan Primanti (1996) baseball, Sharon Boyd (1979) softball, Rosalyn ?Lyn? This year?s recipient of the J. ?Mac? Stuber Award, given for special contributions to Coatesville athletics is Quentin Deidrick. The 1952 state champion boys track teamm will be honored, along with Marty Flynn and Gene Burnite, who were instrumental in founding the Hall of Fame.
