Tommy Jordan, a North Carolina dad, recently taught his teenage daughter the hard way that nothing on the Internet can really be considered "private."
He pulled out a gun and pumped nine bullets into her laptop - on camera.
When her dad discovered a Facebook rant that she thought she had blocked from him, he decided to respond in a way that will certainly never be forgotten.
Jordan, of Albemarle, N.C., posted a video on YouTube responding to his daughter Hannah's post, in which she complained about having to do chores:
"I'm not your damn slave," Tommy, who works in IT and discovered the post when adding software to her laptop to upgrade it, read from Hannah's post.
"We have a cleaning lady for a reason."
After continuing to read his 15-year-old's missive, he fired bullets into her computer from a .45 handgun. That's one way to get your point across.
Jordan also addresses Hannah on camera in the video, saying that she can clean up the house and get a new computer if she pays for one herself.
Tommy also noted that Hannah must pay him back for the bullets and software he installed. No laws were broken, and there will be no investigation.
Just the same, the father's actions have sparked controversy and discussion, with some finding it way out of line, and others praising his backbone.
"Maybe a few kids can take something away from this," he wrote on YouTube.
"If you're so disrespectful as to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you're deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love."
NEW YORK (Reuters) ? Clearwire Corp (CLWR.O) said its 2012 revenue may fall, or at best remain at 2011 levels, as it faces increased competition at its biggest customer, Sprint Nextel (S.N), sending its shares down nearly 9 percent in after hours trade.
The wireless service provider, which is majority-owned by Sprint, also forecast higher capital spending this year as it kicks off an upgrade to its network.
It forecast 2012 revenue of $1.15 billion to $1.25 billion compared with its 2011 revenue of $1.25 billion partly due to the timing of revenue recognition from a recent agreement with Sprint.
Clearwire is expected to lose out because of Sprint's own plans to build a high-speed wireless service and its launch of Apple Inc's (AAPL.O) iPhone, which doesn't work on the Clearwire network.
The company also warned that it would revert to an adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $250 million to $350 million for 2011.
Since the company posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the fourth quarter, "maybe there's some disappointment they're guiding to an EBITDA loss after a positive Q4," Pacific Crest analyst Steve Clement said.
Clearwire Chief Executive Erik Prusch said that the company's numbers would improve once it completes its network upgrade, which starts this year.
"This is a build year for us," Prusch told Reuters. He also noted that Clearwire is working on gaining new wholesale customers beyond Sprint, on which it is almost entirely dependent for wholesale customers.
The company does not expect to have devices to support its high-speed service upgrade until the end of 2012 or early 2013.
It forecast 2012 capital spending of $450 million to $550 million, with most spending coming in the second half of the year.
For the fourth quarter, Clearwire posted a wider quarterly net loss as costs increased and it wrote down the value of certain assets and took a charge related to a change of its preferred network technology.
Clearwire posted a loss of $236.85 million, or 81 cents per share, compared with a loss of $128.01 million, or 79 cents per share, in the year ago quarter. Revenue rose to $361.9 million from $175.2 million.
Clearwire shares fell to $2.15 in after-market trade after closing at $2.36 on the Nasdaq.

Dr. Edith Mitchell to serve as center's director
PHILADELPHIA -- In an effort to reduce and eventually eliminate cancer disparities among adults in the Philadelphia region, the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson has established the Center to Eliminate Cancer Disparities.
Edith P. Mitchell, M.D., FACP, a medical oncologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Clinical Professor of Medicine and Medical Oncology in the Department of Medical Oncology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, will serve as its Director.
Despite the decline in cancer incidence and mortality rates in the United States, disparities in cancer burdens continue to exist among certain population groups and the gap continues to widen. The Philadelphia region in particular has a disproportionately high number of residents suffering from cancers, many of which are preventable and treatable.
Such disparities include differences in incidence, prevalence, mortality and burden of cancer and related adverse health conditions. Disparate population groups may be characterized by gender, age, race and ethnicity, income, social class, disability, geographic location or sexual orientation.
"I have dedicated my career to the treatment of cancer patients and have had the opportunity to experience, as a physician and as a researcher, the significance cancer disparities can have on the outcome of a patient's treatment," said Dr. Mitchell. "The first step in the elimination of these disparities is to raise awareness through public and professional education about what resources are available to groups in their fight against cancer."
The Center aims to accomplish its mission through the facilitation of disparities-focused research, researcher and clinician education, training and teaching, and increased patient access to quality supportive services, such as palliative care, cancer screening and prevention, and survivorship programs.
Dr. Mitchell and her fellow clinicians and researchers at Jefferson are dedicated to the ongoing study of cancer and other health disparities among patients of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. They have created strategic priorities for eliminating such disparities through innovative research, education and training, advocacy, community outreach, and quality medical care.
The need for research into cancer, and other health care disparities, has become increasingly evident in recent years as doctors and scientists learn more about how slight variations in genetic makeup can have drastic effects on the way cancer invades an individual's body. Knowing that these disparities exist can improve how screening processes are established and help doctors understand which treatments will and will not be effective.
Dr. Mitchell has spent her medical career helping individuals in medically underserved areas to realize that simple changes in lifestyle can have a dramatic impact on cancer care. Through her work, Dr. Mitchell has demonstrated the importance of community service and outreach especially to those individuals who may not have the means to seek out more conventional medical advice.
She holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. She has also served as the Program Leader in gastrointestinal oncology for more than 15 years and has a focused research effort in aggressive breast cancers.
"We want all researchers and clinicians to be aware of the disparities that exist in cancer diagnoses among diverse ethnic groups so that they can incorporate these important factors into their research efforts and clinical practice," said Dr. Mitchell.
"The Center will also provide patients with contact information for cancer advocacy and support groups both locally and nationally that serve the needs of their demographic background. We are proud to host and sponsor several annual events where patients can come together to share their stories and plan for a future free of cancer disparities," she said.

MTV will pay respects to Whitney Houston on Wednesday (February 15) with a live 30-minute tribute entitled "Whitney Houston: In Her Own Words." The MTV News special, airing at 7:30 p.m. ET and hosted by Sway Calloway, will feature interview clips of Houston from her network debut in 1986 through her final interview.
Houston died at age 48 on Saturday in her Los Angeles hotel room of as-yet-undetermined causes.
The singer had a long history with the network, dating back to her 1985 self-titled debut album. The third single from that multiplatinum smash was "How Will I Know," which helped introduce the singer to a wider audience when it became one of the first videos by a black female singer to go into heavy rotation on MTV, blasting open the doors for a whole generation of R&B and pop divas to follow.
Along the way, Houston smashed a number of records, including the best-selling single of all time by a female artist, her iconic cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." The Grammy-winning album that song came from, the soundtrack to her big-screen debut, "The Bodyguard," also set the all-time record for soundtrack albums, with more than 44 million copies sold worldwide.
During the MTV special, Sway will share personal stories from music celebrities on Houston's impact and her peerless voice. The show will stream simultaneously on MTV.com and be available on demand immediately after it airs.
In addition, MTV News will continue its coverage of the tragic death of the singer, covering everything from breaking developments to Houston's funeral. Houston will be laid to rest in her native Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday at an invitation-only private funeral at her childhood house of worship, the New Baptist Church.
The cause of Houston's death is still unknown. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office continues to quell any speculation. "I know there are reports that she maybe was drowned or did she overdose, but we won't make a final determination until all the tests are in," he told CNN.
Share your condolences with Whitney's family and friends on our Facebook page.
